Haleem
The story
Haleem is a richly aromatic stew primarily composed of meat, lentils, and pounded wheat. While the exact origins of the dish are not clear, it is believed to have Persian roots and was probably introduced to the Indian subcontinent during the Mughal era. In Pakistan, it has become a popular and traditional dish, especially during the holy month of Ramadan due to its high nutritional con tent, satisfying nature, and comforting taste. Over time, regional variants have evolved, each adding their own local touch to the base recipe.
