What is burgers?

Spam is pressed cooked pork shoulder and ham in a can, made by Hormel in Minnesota since 1937; it fed Allied soldiers in the war and is still a staple in Hawaii, Korea and the Philippines. The videos use halal beef or chicken luncheon meat. Halal luncheon meat is sold in Pakistan under other names, so the tin is known even if Spam itself is not.
What to watch for
It is eaten with two hands and it drips, which is fine. What catches people is the patty: plain minced beef with only salt and pepper, where a village kebab would have onion, green chilli, coriander and garam masala worked through it.
