Tribal People Try American Food
Every time the tribe has tasted american food: 21 videos of first impressions from villagers in rural Punjab, Pakistan, usually American food they have never seen before.

American food as a category: burgers, hot dogs, mac and cheese, PB&J, Thanksgiving turkey, cornbread, s'mores, meatloaf, Pop-Tarts. Big portions, sweet-savoury combinations and a lot of cheese.
Sweetness in savoury food is the recurring theme — glazed ham, cornbread, sweet barbecue sauce, ketchup on everything. Fried and cheesy things are liked; cold sandwiches and sweet breakfasts less so.
Nothing in village cooking pairs sugar with meat, so American food asks the tribe to rethink a rule. When it does not — fried chicken, mac and cheese — it wins easily.
