Tribal People Try World's Sourest Candy
About this video
Candy in front of villagers from rural Punjab, Pakistan — that's the whole Tribal People Try recipe, and it keeps working because nothing is scripted.
What is candy?
Candy means American and British sweets: Skittles, Sour Patch Kids, Warheads, Jolly Ranchers, Haribo gummies, Twizzlers, Reese's, M&M's, and the sour and 'extreme' sweets built for reaction videos.
What to watch for
Sour candy is the reliable reaction: Warheads and Sour Patch Kids pull the face every time. Gummy textures are unfamiliar and get chewed thoughtfully. Peanut butter cups divide the table down the middle.
The comparison they always make
Village sweets are boiled sugar and jaggery — gur, til ke laddoo, sugar-coated fennel after meals. Fruit-flavoured, brightly coloured candy is a shop treat for children, so adults tasting it is part of the fun.
