Tribal People Try Gingerbread Cookies for the First Time
About this video
Cookies, tried for the first time by villagers from rural Punjab, Pakistan. Nobody tells them what to say. Some like it, some don't, and in the Tribal People Try way they explain exactly why.
What is cookies?
Cookies and biscuits: Oreos, chocolate chip cookies, shortbread, digestives, Biscoff, Girl Scout cookies. Oreo is the most-featured single product on the channel and has its own set of videos.
What to watch for
Everyone dunks. The Oreo twist-and-lick ritual gets demonstrated and mostly ignored in favour of dipping the whole thing in tea. Soft, chewy American cookies are a new texture — biscuits here are crisp.
The comparison they always make
Biscuits with tea is a daily ritual in the village, so cookies arrive into an expert audience. The tribe's reference is the plain Pakistani tea biscuit, and anything sweeter is judged as cake.
