Tribal People Try Biscuits and Gravy For The First Time
About this video
In this Tribal People Try video the tribe meet cookies for the first time. Most of them had never seen it before the camera started, so the first minute is questions — what is it, what's in it, how do you eat it — and then the plates go round.
What is cookies?
Cookies and biscuits: Oreos, chocolate chip cookies, shortbread, digestives, Biscoff, Girl Scout cookies. Oreo is the most-featured single product on the channel and has its own set of videos.
What to watch for
Everyone dunks. The Oreo twist-and-lick ritual gets demonstrated and mostly ignored in favour of dipping the whole thing in tea. Soft, chewy American cookies are a new texture — biscuits here are crisp.
The comparison they always make
Biscuits with tea is a daily ritual in the village, so cookies arrive into an expert audience. The tribe's reference is the plain Pakistani tea biscuit, and anything sweeter is judged as cake.
