Introducing Modern Gadgets to Tribal People
About this video
Not every Tribal People Try video is about food. "Introducing Modern Gadgets to Tribal People" is one of the technology episodes: villagers from rural Punjab, Pakistan come across something new and react to it the way they react to everything — curious, blunt and funny.
About these episodes
The technology episodes: smartphones, drones, VR headsets, robot vacuums, electric cars, 3D printers — things that are ordinary in a city and new in a village where the electricity still goes off for hours a day.
What to expect
The questions are practical: what is it for, how much does it cost, who fixes it when it breaks. VR headsets get the biggest reactions; robot vacuums get the most suspicion.
The village view
Most of the tribe have a basic phone and a television. Anything beyond that is examined like a visitor from another planet, and the jokes write themselves.

The video runs about 9 minutes and went up in June 2025.
