Tribal People Try Fast Food

Fast food means the chains: McDonald's, KFC, Burger King, Subway, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and the rest, with menus that taste the same in Lahore and Los Angeles. Most of these videos are the tribe's first visit to one, or the menu brought out to the village.

The packaging gets as much attention as the food. Then the food is judged the way everything is: is there enough spice, is the bread fresh, is the meat real. Fried things win; sweet sauces lose.

Pakistan has had KFC since 1997 and McDonald's since 1998, mostly in cities. For people from a village a few hours away, the brand is known and the taste is not.
